Our university was founded more than five centuries ago by the City’s governing body and has become a modern state university offering teaching in every area of knowledge: experimental sciences; engineering; health sciences; humanities; social, economic and legal sciences; and educational sciences. The University has 45,800 degree students and 8,600 postgraduate students. On our campuses (Blasco Ibañez, Burjassot-Paterna and Els Tarongers), over 3,300 teachers and researchers carry out their work, aided by over 1,700 administration and services staff.
Everyone who forms a part of this university community is committed to maintaining our status as a university of reference: we are the second European university in the number of visiting Erasmus students, the fourth Spanish university in terms of research and, according to the most prestigious international rankings, we are the fourth Spanish university at a worldwide level.
