The Romanian Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (ROMAI) is a scientific organization without political or lucrative purposes. ROMAI was founded in 1992. ROMAI encourages and promotes studies on applied mathematics. Its purposes are:
- The coordination of the activity of its members in order to promote industrial and applied mathematics in sciences and engineering, in university education and in industry;
- The protection of the scientific and professional needs of its members.

The annual conferences of ROMAI are called CAIM (Conference on Applied and Industrial Mathematics). They provide a forum for the review of the recent trends in theoretical, numerical and experimental applied and industrial mathematics, in computer sciences and in education activities in mathematics.
