The Museum Computer Network (MCN) supports the greater museum community by providing continuing opportunities to explore, implement, and disseminate new technologies and best practices in the field.

MCN organizes a wide variety of activities, including:

    • Annual Conference: Hundreds of attendees explore the latest advances in museum technology through workshops, panel presentations, and vendor demonstrations.
    • Email List: MCN maintains an online discussion list, MCN-L, where members and non-members may post inquiries and announcements.
    • Special Interest Groups: The MCN SIGs represent a range of topical interests as well as regional areas. Topical groups include Intellectual Property, Digital Media, and the Small Museum. There are regional SIGs for California and the Pacific Northwest as well as Taiwan and UK-Ireland.
    • Website: The MCN website offers online membership purchases and renewals, up-to-date annual conference information and registration, resources to help you with your everyday responsibilities, and a For Members area with a listing of MCN Members.
