Eastern Mediterranean Academic Research Center (DAKAM)

  • Description
  • Eastern Mediterranean Academic Research Center (DAKAM) was established in 2010 as an association of academics from different disciplines with a mission to become a forum where academics and researchers from all over the world could meet in Istanbul and exchange ideas on their research and discuss the future developments of their discipline.

DAKAM’s basic principles are a critical perspective that has to base all scientific studies and the social concern about the course of the world. As an independent academic platform, our tasks are to share, publicize and support the academic research in our region. To strengthen the ties between science and society under the last of “information bombardment” of our age, scientific information has to be delivered freely without depending neither to market conditions nor to commercial aims. We support interdisciplinary approaches that give priority to create a focus at the intersection of the locality with international layer.

In this context, in cooperation with universities and scholars, DAKAM aims to organize international conferences, workshops, events, and to publish different types of proceedings.
