The major objective of the Mannheim Centre for Competition and Innovation (MaCCI) is to stimulate and disseminate research in the area of competition, regulation and innovation policy, broadly defined. It is an initiative by the Department of Law and the Department of Economics of the University of Mannheim and the ZEW Centre for European Economic Research.

MaCCI bundles the research interests in competition policy, regulation, and innovation policy at Mannheim. Senior and junior members, as well as doctoral students are involved in the activities of MaCCI. The advisory board supports them.
