African Society for the Scientific Research is a member organization of the International Union for Conservation of Nature. The International Union for Conservation of Nature is the world’s oldest and largest global environmental organization. IUCN works and collaborates with its member organizations across the world on environment and sustainable issues. More than 1200 government and non profit organizations world wide are its members. The administration of the union is through an elected council which changes after every 4 years of service.
African Society for the Scientific Research also as a part of the
union works on a variety of new initiatives and projects to meet
the objectives set by the Union. The scientific approach to the
environmental issues in the African region provides solutions and
ideas to the environmental and wild life issues.
