Harnessing the results of research and development, incubators and venture capital support for entrepreneurs, access to modern infrastructure are the key drivers for accelerated economic growth. Nurturing innovation and bringing out new products and processes are the hall mark of professionals in our country. In order to deliberate on the related issues, the Indian Technology Congress (ITC) is proposed to be held during 11-12 May 2012 at J.N. Tata Auditorium, IISc, Bangalore. Synchronizing with Technology Day Celebrations of 2012 the Congress will bring together eminent researchers, academicians, MSMEs, large industries, funding agencies, and policy makers, to plan and develop strategies and road maps for accelerated industrial growth of our country.
The congress will focus on new knowledge and innovations coming out of academic Institutions, national laboratories, research institutions and their successful exploitation. Information on government initiatives for promoting sponsored research and funding schemes, entrepreneurship development activities and strengthening MSME linkages for augmenting R&D infrastructure, employment generation and promoting Indian Technologies and Products in the world market will be addressed. How to make “Made in India” products conquer major share of the world market will also be deliberated.
The Indian Technology Congress (ITC) will be hosted by consortium of professional bodies under the Theme "Strengthening the Innovation Ecosystem in India". The event is planned on a grand scale with packed programs for two days including specialty workshops, product demos and parallel technical sessions with over 150 invited keynote & technical presentations. Over 2000 technologists from industries and R&D labs, representatives from academics will be participating including international participation.
