  • The Inter­na­tional Aca­d­e­mic Forum (IAFOR) in con­junc­tion with its global part­ners is proud to announce the First Asian Con­fer­ence on Pol­i­tics, Eco­nom­ics and Law (ACPEL), to be held from Novem­ber 21 – 24 2013 in the great city of Osaka, Japan.

    Polit­i­cal Gov­er­nance, Legal Struc­tures and Eco­nomic Sus­tain­abil­ity

    Come to the inau­gural ACPEL 2013, to engage in chal­leng­ing inter­dis­ci­pli­nary dis­cus­sion cen­ter­ing on the lat­est ideas and research find­ing in Pol­i­tics, Eco­nom­ics and Law. This year’s Con­fer­ence ses­sions will be wide-​ranging, cov­er­ing both pol­icy and research. It will bring together experts and lead­ers from the aca­d­e­mic and busi­ness world to address key con­tem­po­rary issues in these social sci­ences, by both reflect­ing on the recent past, and look­ing for­ward; to exchange ideas, and share research find­ings in the excit­ing envi­ron­ment of Osaka, Japan.

    This year’s theme invites schol­ars from their dif­fer­ent research back­grounds and from a vari­ety of dis­ci­pli­nary approaches, to look at the con­fer­ence theme of trust, and its role in the rela­tions between indi­vid­u­als, com­mu­ni­ties, and soci­eties, to include ques­tions of gov­ern­ment, and gov­er­nance in both the pub­lic and pri­vate sphere, and the role trust plays in the cre­ation of a sus­tain­able future.

    ABMC/​ACPEL Keynote Speaker

    Yozo Yokota

    Pro­fes­sor Yozo Yokota is an inter­na­tion­ally renowned jurist and diplo­mat, who hasex­ten­sively advised the United Nations, most notably as their spe­cial rap­por­teur on Myan­mar. He is cur­rently Pres­i­dent of the Japan­ese Cen­ter for Human Rights.

    ABMC 2013 Sis­ter Conference

    ACPEL 2013 will be held along­side the Fourth Asian Busi­ness and Man­age­ment Con­fer­ence (ABMC 2013), and reg­is­trants for either con­fer­ence will be given the oppor­tu­nity to attend ses­sions in the par­al­lel event at no extra charge.
