Discovery Chemistry & Drug Design Congress 2013

  • Conference Call
  • Oxford Global Conferences Ltd are proud to present the Discovery Chemistry & Drug Design Congress taking place on 10 & 11 June, 2013 in Geneva, Switzerland. This congress is the latest addition to our long-established Pharma R&D Europe Summits Series. Focused on the latest breakthroughs in discovery chemistry, it will bring together the industry leaders in medicinal chemistry and drug design.

The discovery industry faces a decade of monumental change – stem cell research, gene therapy approvals, virtual R&D models and a growing focus on biological pipelines are just a few of the factors changing the way we approach drug discovery. Our expert speaker panel will explore the critical concerns in discovery chemistry today, while updating key decision makers on the latest developments in drug design.

Day One will feature presentations on lead optimisation, structure-activity relationships and fragment-based drug discovery. Our internationally renowned speakers will also discuss the latest developments in drug design, including anti-target modelling, advances in polypharmacology and structure based design.

The event will be co-located with the 14th Annual Drug Discovery Summit 2013; a high-level meeting focused on novel approaches to drug discovery and collaborative working methods. Delegates will also be able to attend the co-located 5th Drug Development Congress 2013; a two stream event for those working at the forefront of research, development and translational medicine.

    Agenda

Day 1 – Discovery Chemistry: Latest Case Studies

    • Hit to lead optimisation
    • Structure-activity relationships
    • Optimising allosteric kinase inhibitors
    • Fragment based drug discovery
    • Combinatorial and high-throughput chemistry

Day 2 – Drug Design: Novel Approaches

    • Structure based drug design
    • Anti-target modelling
    • Protein-ligand interactions
    • Antibodies as discovery tools
    • Innovation in IPS cell research
    • Advances in polypharmacology
    • In silico profiling

    Submit a poster

For attendees interested in submitting a poster, there are opportunities now available. Your poster presentation will be located in the exhibition room for two days alongside other posters from senior scientists working in industry and academia.

    How to submit your poster

    We will require:

    • Poster title
    • Abstract (200 words or less)
    • Principal author
    • Organisation
    • Mailing address
    • Email
    • Telephone
    • Fax
    • Additional authors

In order to secure your board space a fee of £125 will be required. The poster should be presented as A0 (841mm x 1189mm) portrait size. To take advantage of this opportunity you need to be registered as a paid delegate over the 2 days. We have only limited spaces available, so please register soon!

    Who Will Attend

The Discovery Chemistry Congress is an exclusive event designed for senior level attendees from leading pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostics, CRO and solution provider companies, along with highly esteemed members of academic and government institutions. Delegates typically include VPs, Directors and Global Heads of:

    • Computational Chemistry
    • Discovery Chemistry
    • Drug Discovery
    • Drug Design
    • Exploratory Medicine
    • Lead Optimisation
    • Lead Generation
    • Medicinal Chemistry
    • Molecular Informatics
    • Structural Biology

    Who is speaking

Our speaker programmes are carefully researched each year to ensure that delegates are exposed to the highest level of expertise. However, delegates not only benefit from the experience of our speakers, but also gain an insight into the experiences of other attendees – Q&A sessions and panel discussions are utilised to enable sharing of knowledge and facilitate idea exchange.

If you have a cutting edge case study or relevant presentation and would like to join the speaker panel at one of our events, please contact Charlotte Tighe at c.tighe@oxfordglobal.co.uk
