  • VIT University is elated to host the 9th International Congress on English Grammar in Vellore, India January 3 - 5, 2013 following the successes of the first eight congresses in previous years (1st ICEG 1999, 2nd ICEG 2004, 3rd ICEG 2005, 4th ICEG 2007, 5th ICEG 2008, 6th ICEG 2010, 7th ICEG 2011,8th ICEG 2012).

    The Congress aims to promote interaction and discussion among researchers interested in the fields of English Grammar, Lexicography, Linguistics, English Language Teaching, and Information and Communication Technology in Language Teaching. The 1st International Congress on English Grammar was held at the Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages (CIEFL), Hyderabad during 12-20 July 1999. The Congress was subsequently hosted by some of the leading institutions in India and abroad.

    The 9th International Congress on English Grammar (ICEG 2013) aims at presenting current topics on Language, Linguistics and Literature. The main theme of the congress is to insist on the importance of Lexicogrammar to establish new techniques of teaching that will be suitable for the new millennium generation of learners. ICEG 2013 aims at promoting a platform for scholarly discussions on the major changes in the new millennium teaching.
