Building on the success of the six previous doctoral student conferences which each attracted over 100 papers from countries all over the South East European region and beyond, we are pleased to be launching the Call for Papers for the 7th Annual South East European Doctoral Student Conference (DSC) 2012. The aim of the conference is to further facilitate the exchange of knowledge between young researchers and to consolidate the established network of scholars currently undertaking research in South East Europe.
Doctoral students or young researchers in the areas of Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, Information & Communication Technologies, Psychology, Politics, Sociology as well as Education are invited to attend and present papers related to their doctoral research.
The conference will comprise of:
- Paper sessions
- Special workshops/training sessions delivered by distinguished academics
- Panel discussions
- Social events
By participating in the 7th South East European Doctoral Student (DSC) 2012 Conference you, as a doctoral student, are given the rare opportunity to:
- Present your work in a friendly environment and receive valuable feedback from experts in your field
- Further develop your academic and research skills
- Strengthen your network with other PhD and doctoral students as well as with distinguished academics and professionals in your area
- Apply for the Best Papers Award
- Publish your work in the Conference Proceedings

All papers are peer reviewed and authors of submitted papers can have access to the evaluations and possible feedback provided by the reviewers.
Depending on the stage of your research, you can submit either a short paper (3-5 pages) or a full paper (8-15 pages).
Call for Papers
The conference will have an interdisciplinary focus and will cover various topics related to information technology, economics and business, political and social sciences. Each research track has its own call for papers including specific instructions to authors and scientific committees.
Publication of Best Papers
Authors of selected best papers will be invited to submit extended versions for publication in the International Journal of Innovation and Regional Development. The invited submissions will follow a separate double-blind reviewing procedure according to the standards of the journal.
All full papers that are accepted will be published in electronic proceedings which will be available for all participants on the first day of the doctoral conference.
