How Does the Central and Eastern Europe Cope up with the Global Financial Crisis?
This conference is aimed at bringing scholars both from the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and other parts of the world to discuss experience of the CEE in coping up with the economic and financial crisis. The CEE is known to have gone through substantial economic and social transformation as a precondition for joining the European Union. The conference shall therefore pinpoint whether and to what extent the CEE can share its experience in coping up with the pending economic and financial crisis in Europe and worldwide.
In our call for papers we ask for contributions that will focus on following areas of research and will be written in English language:
Implications of the Global Financial Crisis to the Banking industry
The Relationship between the Financial Markets and the Real Economy
Economic Policy Challenges during the Times of Financial Crisis (Monetary Policy, Fiscal Policy, Exchange Rate Policy and Regulation)
Full versions of accepted papers will be published in the proceedings on CD. The proceedings will have an ISBN number. All papers that will successfully pass double-blind review process will be published in a printed book.
