  • The VI Inter­na­tional GUIDE Con­fer­ence 2013 “The Global Eco­nomic Cri­sis and its con­se­quences on the national edu­ca­tional sys­tems: can the online edu­ca­tion con­tribute to over­come the cri­sis?” to be held in Athens, Greece, 3 – 4 Octo­ber 2013, will ana­lyze the cur­rent sit­u­a­tion of the var­i­ous national or regional higher edu­ca­tion sys­tems that share com­mon prob­lems and prospects.
    In par­tic­u­lar, the con­fer­ence will high­light the role of dig­i­tal tech­nolo­gies in pro­vid­ing cost-​effective equal learn­ing oppor­tu­ni­ties, while main­tain­ing a high qual­ity uni­ver­sity edu­ca­tion. The reform of the dif­fer­ent coun­tries’ national higher edu­ca­tion agenda will be the start­ing point for dis­cussing the social, eco­nomic, insti­tu­tional and ped­a­gog­i­cal implications.
