6th European Association of Chemical and Materials Societies (EuCheMS) Congress 2016 Seville

  • Conference Call
  • Welcome to the 6th European Association of Chemical and Materials Societies (EuCheMS) Chemistry Congress, the European Chemistry and Molecular Sciences’ convention that will be held September 1115, 2016 in Seville, Spain. The Seville meeting, to be run by the National Association of Spanish Chemists (ANQUE), follows very successful meetings in Prague (2012) and Istanbul (2014). It is expected that around 2000 Chemists will be present for this exciting showcase of European Chemistry.

EuCheMS congresses are unique fora to foster transnational exchange and collaboration, to encourage dialogue between the different branches of chemistry, to bring academia, industry and decision makers together and to emphasize the impact of chemistry and chemical research in our society. Special attention is given to all activities which help promote careers of young scientists.

A high level Scientific Committee and a strongly committed Organising Committee ensure the highest possible quality of each congress. The scientific contributions include 8 plenary lectures offered by top class world scientists and Nobel Laureates, over 100 invited speakers and around 2.000 scientific communications which conform a geographically and thematically balanced program of exciting cutting edge chemistry.

Plenary, Keynote, Invited and Contributed lectures will bring you up to date in all topical areas of modern pure and applied Chemistry and will be given by some of Europe and the world’s most distinguished Chemists. There will be large poster sessions, workshops, especially for younger people and plenty of time for networking, developing contacts for collaborative research and grant applications, meeting with and making new friends as well for general discussion.

There will be special sessions run by the very active and effective European Young Chemists Network, so we especially encourage younger Chemists to join us.

    Plenary Speakers

Outstanding speakers have already confirmed their attendance. 5 Nobel Laureates will participate in the Congress offering plenary lectures. Ada Yonah, Richard Schrock, Aaron Ciechanover, Harold Kroto and Jean-Marie Lehn will offer conferences at 6th EuChems. Avelino Corma, Spain’s most awarded chemist and recent Prince of Asturias award has also confirmed his assistance and joins these spectacular group of plenary lecturers.
