After 4 successful International Fluid Academy days from 2011 to 2014, this year’s 5th anniversary edition sees the introduction of an updated meeting concept:
- Two full days of invited lectures, tutorials, and short courses on Nov 27th-28th
- plenary and parallel sessions, Pro/Con debates
- A two-level ultrasound course on Nov 26th with hours of hands-on training
- Oral presentations of selected abstracts
- Poster sessions, Satellite symposia
A neglected topic for way too long, the interest in fluid therapy seems to be quickly rising as the medical community is making a shift from looking at fluids as a mere method of stabilization towards the appreciation of its relevant side effects.
The 5th iFAD is a concise 3 day symposium on fluid management hemodynamaic and endorgan function monitoring in the critically ill and in emergency and OR patients. The target audience are intensivists, ER and OR physicians, surgeons, anesthetists,… and doctors in training.
Call for Papers
The iFAD organizing Committee welcomes scientific papers for poster or oral presentation. The topic can be on maintenance, replacement or resuscitation fluids but should not be confined to fluids alone, any broad ICU related topic will be considered.
All accepted abstracts will be published in the official Proceedings of the meeting in the PubMed listed journal Anaesthesiology Intensive Therapy.
Members of endorsing societies are eligible for extra REDUCED registration fee to the meeting in case of acceptance of the abstract.
