Innovations in Technology - Implications for Marketing and Business Strategy
Rapid changes are taking place across the globe, thanks to technology. Our lives have never been easier when we compare the situation even a decade ago. Every activity that we carry out today necessarily has a technology interface. Businesses know this imperative and have modified their businesses in tune with changing customer demands. Despite high initial investments it is observed that organizations are willing to walk that extra mile to create higher customer value through their activities and actions - with a difference. The difference that is becoming more obvious is 'technology'.
The International Conference on Marketing and Business Strategy (ICOMBS) into its fourth year has been dwelling on issues concerning business and marketing strategies. By inviting research and thought papers on topics related to the two broad areas (strategy and marketing) ICOMBS has become an exciting platform to upcoming and established academicians, research scholars and students to demonstrate their research contributions in these areas. This year the theme has been chosen as "Innovations in Technology - Implications for Marketing and Business Strategy" keeping in mind the endless possibilities and opportunities that Technology is presenting to organizations for value creation and delivery. Serious discussion and research has to complement these changes that are bound to impact the business environment. ICOMBS 2012 will contribute in its own little way to this endeavor. the process, content innovations and delivery mechanisms of technology are solicited for the 4th ICOMBS We, on behalf of ICOMBS 2012 invite academicians, research scholars and industry executives to take this opportunity and present their empirical work, thought papers etc at the conference and network with those present.
Objectives of the Conference
The conference is aimed at deliberations and presentation of research work and management practice in the areas of Marketing and Business Strategy. The broad areas notwithstanding, the conference will be enriched with contributions that lay emphasis on the themes presented below. ICOMBS 2012 will present a unique opportunity to research scholars to present their work, seek suggestions and improvise.
Broad plan of the conference
The conference is spread over two days. It will have two plenary sessions and five technical sessions (three sessions dedicated to Marketing and two to Business Strategy). Each technical session will have about 4 - 5 research papers being presented on the themes announced. Plenary sessions will be addressed by experts from academia and industry.
