  • TIIKM, Sri Lanka warmly wel­comes you to the 3rd World Con­fer­ence on Sup­ply Chain Man­age­ment which is sched­uled to be held on May 1819, 2017 in Colombo, Sri Lanka at the Taj Samu­dra.

    The 3rd World Con­fer­ence on Sup­ply Chain Man­age­ment (WCOSM 2017) aims at bring­ing together lead­ing aca­d­e­mic sci­en­tists, research schol­ars, prac­ti­tion­ers, sup­ply chain exec­u­tives and pro­fes­sion­als to exchange and share their expe­ri­ences and/​or research results on selected aspects of Sup­ply Chain Man­age­ment. It also serve as a forum for pre­sent­ing and dis­cussing the most recent inno­va­tions, trends, con­cerns and chal­lenges encoun­tered as well as the­o­ret­i­cal and prac­ti­cal solu­tions and best prac­tices to be put for­ward in the selected top­ics of Sup­ply Chain Management.

    The pace of dig­i­ti­za­tion of processes and oper­a­tions com­bined with the increase of con­nected objects/​products and final cus­tomers add a sig­nif­i­cant amount of com­plex­ity that just keeps on ris­ing. Although this ever increas­ing com­plex­ity raises chal­lenges lead­ing to rad­i­cally rethink the way sup­ply chains are under­stood and man­aged, it opens up tremen­dous oppor­tu­ni­ties to (re)design and imple­ment inno­v­a­tive strate­gies, tac­tics and oper­a­tions to achieve greater antic­i­pa­tion, bet­ter final cus­tomer expe­ri­ence and over­all sup­ply chain performance.

    • Prof. Dr. Alas­sane B. NDI­AYE: a Civil Engi­neer and MBA is a Pro­fes­sor of Trans­port Sys­tems & Logis­tics at the Uni­ver­site Libre de Brux­elles, founder and Direc­tor of Qalinca-​Labs, a major Logis­tics & Trans­port Sys­tems R&D lab­o­ra­tory in Brus­sels. Edu­cated in Logis­tics and Sup­ply Chain Man­age­ment at Stan­ford Uni­ver­sity and at the MIT, he was a Vis­it­ing Sci­en­tist at the Uni­ver­sity of Cal­i­for­nia at Berke­ley and a Guest Pro­fes­sor in 10+ uni­ver­si­ties in Africa, South Amer­ica and South East Asia.
    • Dr. Renuka Herath: Senior Lec­turer, Depart­ment of Mar­ket­ing Man­age­ment, Uni­ver­sity of Kelaniya. There she has been work­ing since 2003. She has obtained her first degree in Busi­ness Man­age­ment spe­cial­iz­ing Mar­ket­ing Man­age­ment with a first class hon­ors and also the gold medal for the high­est GPA in the fac­ulty of Com­merce and Man­age­ment Stud­ies. The MBA has been con­cluded at the Post­grad­u­ate Insti­tute of Man­age­ment with a Merit pass. She has then com­pleted her PhD at the New­cas­tle Uni­ver­sity, UK in Sup­ply Chain Man­age­ment. She is an alumni of Com­mon­wealth schol­ar­ships too.
