The "Second International Conference on Business and Management" organized by the Social Sciences Research Society (SoSReS) is a major international event and will be held in İzmir, Turkey from 27-29 April 2012.

Dr. Küçüközmen is a full time lecturer at the International Trade and Finance Department of Izmir University of Economics. Dr. Küçüközmen has started his official career at the Central Bank of Turkey in 1986. He was granted Jean Monnet study-award and received his MSc degree on banking fromLoughborough University, UK in 1995. He conducted his doctoral research at the Exeter University. He worked at the Central Bank of the Turkey till 2010. He also taught at the Middle East Technical University. He is lecturing on financial time series analysis, regulation and supervision of financial risks and energy trade and risk management. His interests include all aspects of empirical finance and financial econometrics, financial risk measurement, Basel-II and validation of internal models, market risk, hedge funds and energy risk management.

Sedef Akgüngör received her MA degree in Economics and PhD Degree in Agricultural Economics from Michigan State University in 1992. She has research experience and interst on agricultural economics, economics of food safety, regional economics, regional development. She is currently professor and department chair at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Business, Department of Economics. She has completed and/or involved in several European Comission funded projects such as FP7 programme (FLABEL (running)), European Science Foundation (ESF) ECRP Project (Constructing Regional Advantage), ESF Eurocores Project (Inventing Europe Programme). She is the Turkish representative of Regional Studies Association. Prof. Akgüngör has published in nunmerous refereed journals on regional economics, agricultural economics and agricultural policy.
