19th INFER Annual Conference 2017 Bordeaux

  • The INFER Annual Con­fer­ence is the main annual event of the INFER (Inter­na­tional Net­work for Eco­nomic Research). The INFER Annual Con­fer­ence pro­vides a great oppor­tu­nity for mem­bers and non-​members of INFER alike to exchange ideas and to dis­cuss results from recent eco­nomic research. The 19th Annual Con­fer­ence is jointly orga­nized with the LAREFI (Lab­o­ra­toire d’Analyse et de Recher­ché en Economie et Finance Inter­na­tionales) and will com­mence on June 79, 2017 in Bor­deaux, France.

    Sub­mis­sion Informations

    Only full papers may be sub­mit­ted for the INFER Annual Con­fer­ence (this applies to both gen­eral ses­sions and spe­cial ses­sions). Papers must be in Eng­lish. Authors are allowed to sub­mit more than one paper. All sub­mit­ted papers will be peer reviewed accord­ing to a high-​quality and fast ref­eree process. Authors will be noti­fied whether their paper is accepted for pre­sen­ta­tion at the con­fer­ence not later than April 2, 2017.

    Paper pre­sen­ters are expected to dis­cuss one other paper dur­ing the con­fer­ence. The dis­cus­sant assign­ments will be made by the con­fer­ence orga­niz­ers at a later date. As the con­fer­ence intends to strengthen the INFER net­work, par­tic­i­pa­tion is wel­come even with­out paper contribution.

    Spe­cial Sessions

    The con­fer­ence will host a num­ber of spe­cial ses­sions focus­ing on spe­cific top­ics. These ses­sions may be orga­nized by INFER schol­ars as well as by other con­fer­ence atten­dants who send their pro­pos­als to the Orga­niz­ing Com­mit­tee. Spe­cial ses­sions will have dis­cus­sants dis­trib­uted among pre­sen­ters of the same ses­sion.     INFER prizes and awards

    In order to stim­u­late research activ­i­ties by INFER mem­bers, at the INFER Annual Con­fer­ence there are some prizes and awards to presenters:

    • Young Econ­o­mist Award, to researchers younger than 30 years.
    • INFER Research Prize, to the best paper.
    • INFER Pol­icy Research Award, to the best pol­icy paper.

    Pub­li­ca­tion opportunities

    The con­fer­ence offers many high qual­ity pub­li­ca­tion oppor­tu­ni­ties to the authors of out­stand­ing research papers. In par­tic­u­lar, the authors of out­stand­ing research papers will be invited to sub­mit them to spe­cial issues of Com­par­a­tive Eco­nomic Stud­ies or Research in Inter­na­tional Busi­ness and Finance.

    The pro­ce­dure for sub­mit­ting the papers to these jour­nals will be spec­i­fied in due course. You will be informed about oth­ers pub­li­ca­tion pos­si­bil­i­ties dur­ing the conference.
